Casa 426 is not  a hotel or Airbnb.  It is a Homestay —with just the right amount of magic for travelers who value connection, comfort, and local living. Whether you’re here for a few days or a few weeks, you’re not just booking a room—you’re becoming part of the rhythm of a real Guadalajara home.

I host artists, nomads, creatives, curious retirees, lgbt travelers, cultural/special event enthusiasts, and slow travelers.  Returning guests have become friends. If you’re kind, easygoing, and open to a slower, more personal kind of travel, you’ll feel right at home here.

In April 2022, I took a leap of faith—and bought a 100-year-old adobe casa in Guadalajara’s historic Barrio Santuario as my forever home .  Here is the story of how ​Casa 426 morphed and now includes a Homestay component.  

Our daily rates are intentionally affordable.
100% of the income from guest stays goes back into maintaining the house, improving the experience, and making sustainable choices that keep Casa 426 thriving for the next hundred years.

Those needing to stay connected and work remotely will find wifi throughout connected to a reliable 100MB fiber optic internet service. Each guest room has a comfortable work chair, desk, and 32 inch monitor (HDMI).  Need more space to spread out, collaborate, or need a nuetral backround for video conferences?  Our comedor has plenty of working space and can be closed off for privacy. 

Te Azotea @ Casa 426 is our private, comfortable outoor, terraza for some fresh air, do some yoga, take in the city views, and enjoy the great climate we have year round.  It also serves as an inclusive  gathering space for small events like BBQs, mixers,  to integrate and build community.
